I have installed Google Translate into Firefox and the thing is not working. I do not have google toolbar installed. Firefox is version 5.0. on a windows 7 32bit machine. There is no reference to this utility in the extensions or addons so am not able to remove it from there.

You could look for it in Control Panel>Programs and Features(the old Add/Remove Programs).

I'm not familiar with it except as a separate program. Where does it appear in Firefox? A button or entry in tools or context menu?

I tried the control Panel thing....Google not there. I searched my Windows Registry and about:config in FF.... nothing

The thing is that there is no button / no menu item / no tool ....nothing I can point to in FF; however it pops up any time I go to a site that is any language other than English. It appears across the top of my FF window and says that there was an error translating the site into English and will not load the original site in the FF browser window.... See attached jpeg image…. Cheers, Sandy

I would suggest a search of your computer. Otherwise I can't help.

It looks to me as if you've got part of the program which gets it started but not the rest to do the actual translation.

This answer will bring you back to Page 1 and someone else might be able to help.
