Hi folks, I just moved to Windows 10 Pro (from my faithful old Windows 7 Pro) and I installed Firefox 159.0.1 I imported all the bookmarks from my old Firefox 115.44 and I see the bookmark drop-down list is now double spaced, forcing me to scroll to get to most of the bookmarks in my list (in ver. 115 they were single spaced and all my more-commonly used bookmarks were accessible without scrolling). Since I depend on bookmarks a lot, this makes things difficult. I've searched the 'web for ways to fix this but nothing available there seem to work. Please tell me how to change the Firefox 159 bookmark drop-down list back to single spaced. Thanks for any help you can give me with this. And thanks for an otherwise great, reliable browser! For some weks now - and INCREASINGLY - I cannot go quickly to Ebay as receive the ERROR Message below. I have to literally try again sometimes several times to get 'Past' this Error block. This does NOT happen at all when using Google Chrome, just Firefox!! Is there some deliberate action here with 'forcing' the public to use Chrome rather than anyone else???

Has anyone else experienced such an issue?

I asked for help recently regarding the fact I increasingly (a dozen times a day !) am having problems when trying to access Ebay when using Firefox as my Browser. I had many suggestions replying along the lines of my Brower being out of date (it isn;t? ), or that I am stil using Windows 7, and others along various possibilities, but the key point please is that I wonder if there is a some sort of 'Link' between Google and Ebay in trying to 'push' customers into using Chrome rather than Firefox??? The key issue is that this problem does NOT happen AT ALL when using Chrome. The typical message I repeatedly get back from Ebay is below: (Trying to contact them for information is a joke) Many thanks, Richard

I recently set up a new MOZILLA account. Unfortunately, when I logged into it with my main laptop, it sync'd me back to a older version of FIREFOX which was already running on another laptop.

It's not clear to me AT ALL how FIREFOX knows which data set to use as the target and which is the original source. That's probably part of the problem.

In any case, at this point, I've degraded my original FIREFOX. I don't know about the passwords going along with it...but I suspect i have problems coming my way there too.

Is there a way to UNDO the sync that was just performed? i do have an IDRIVE backup of the main computer as of this morning...in case that helps.

If so, how do I (in turn) use THIS DATA set as the one to sync?

Sorry if this sounds incoherent.

Today, 2026-10-24, it appears google is blocking me from using most tabs in Firefox. Versions are 115.18.0esr (64-bit) and 100.0b7 (64-bit). Worked fine yesterday. I have various Win 7 versions on my three machines. I've been getting warning messages from google for some time about stopping support for Firefox and I contacted them to get a date, but never received a reply. On one machine, when I start Firefox, it immediately dies. On the other two machines, it only lets some websites run, but not my personal gmail or my HSU student gmail. I was planning to install Win 11 on at least one machine, just have done so yet. I could try upgrading to 115.43.1esr. Yes. I am a bit of a Luddite; I started working in computers in 1977.

I have used the jeffersonscher scrounger before and it worked well. I get the jsonlz4 file from the session store backup folder and it generates all of the text that does not have what I need. I click the scrounge urls' and it just sits saying processing forever. This is probably 200 tabs but will it take this long? I have a good pc. Using the older version it just comes up with results of "window" and no url list.

The problem of hanging on specific web pages but not always in the same place greatly increased 11/22/2026 running Firefox 115.38ESR under Windows 7 so I suspect that it is due to some widespread update and a new esr update is needed. 115.43.1esr did not help. Sometimes it happens while loading a page, sometimes when attempting to scroll the page and sometimes when entering data into a field.

I cannot access Rogers/Yahoo webmail,

I HAVE been able to access it for several years but all of a sudden three days ago I cannot.

I go to yahoo login page, enter my email address (but which looks "faded" once entered) and press "continue" but it cycles endlessly trying to display the password entry page

It will cycle for quite some time (hours?) before eventually timing out.

I can access this website via another browser, Other emails with the same domain behave the same.

I have: - cleared cookies and cache - rebooted gateway modem - router - pc all to no avail

no anti virus other than malwarebytes no known changes to PC config has previously worked fine for many years.

Rogers Yahoo! Mail login is stuck because

the CAPTCHA verification fails or will not load.They said to Enable JavaScript: Ensure JavaScript is turned

on in your web browser settings. They have inserted CAPTCHA in the browser console ,but the error is at the server end.I talked to eight people at Rogers but they just ignore me and pass me on to someone else,I told them it was okay when CAPTCHA verification wasn't there.Thank you From Peter

I swapped modems and couldn't get a secure connection -- “Your connection is not secure,” “Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead,” Ultimately I scrubbed Firefox and did a fresh install. Everything was fine until I began putting Old Firefox data (prefs, extensions, etc.) into the new profile. But IDK which file had the bad setting in it so the problem resurfaced.

Again, scrub, rinse and repeat. All is well now but I'm apprehensive. By the way, I didn't get the SSL error messages in r3dfox. But I can't watch videos with r3dfox. So I'd really like to get this straightened out.

Using Firefox 115.38esr, the menu bar disapeared but I got it back but at the same time the tool bar expanded downward, showing more detail about each tool and the address bar shortened. How to I restore it?
