9 times out of 10 the user is the worst thing to happen to a computer.

Go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html and get the 3.6.16 download to install. Hope you have a backup of your profile. My guess is you do not and will have to start from scratch.

If you have problems with that, get professional help.

FF4 UI optimization did cost me a half a day today, but FF is flexible/customizable more than enough to solve all my (and your, whatever they are) problems.

Just be patient and use the holy "search". If you still have issues, ask what you want to know or submit a bug report. Good luck!
