show tabs toolbar windows 11

Wolfgang

my tabs bar, containing several hundred tabs, in firefox has suddenly decided to disappear and i can't get it to show. same for the menu toolbar (the one w/ the open, save,...) never really know which toolbar i am looking for. using latest version of ff and windows 11 desktop tried to get info directly from mozilla, but is the only place that probably has the answer.

what ever happened to support for the browser? it was relatively easy to get to the support area but now it mostly shows self-advertising for firefox.

thanks in advance for any help on this matter!

Not sure if you mean bookmarks.

Any way have you tried right clicking on the toolbar and using > Customise toolbar

Then see attached image

Since the bars were not visible, I don't see how I could right-click on them. Anyway, for some weird reason the bars are back today and I hadn't changed any settings. I appreciate your reply and thanks for the help. I also have attached a screenshot of how it looks today - perfect! Just wish I knew what went wrong and how to avoid and fix it if it happens again. It's possible your system launched it into full screen. You can toggle that mode in and out with "F11" key.

tried the F11 key and it was not in full screen mode. running on a widows 11 desktop. this is strange because i had about the same problem on 8/13/26, but it was back to normal the next day for no discernible reason. when i go to history, the only tags i can see are the one or two i have open. but as i go down the history list i can see all the missing tags, but w/ no way to restore them.

can anyone tell me how the original problem began and then corrected its self overnight w/o any input from me?

can anyone tell me how to get all these missing tabs back from the history? very frustrating to see that the tags are there but i cannot find any way to restore them to the current bookmarks/tabs toolbar.

can anyone tell me howto keep this from happening again? i cannot see anything in config that mentions anything even close to this problem.

i do hope firefox would stop "improving" as this spawns evermore problems such as this. it used to be easy and intuitive to use and had very few problems that were easily rectified. thanks in advance, wolfgang

i had several hundred tags which show up as i go down the history list, but i can't get them back. i've attached 2 screen shots which hopefully will hopefully will clarify the situation. thanks in advance! wolfgang

Do I understand correctly that your issue is not with toolbars, bookmarks or any appearance, but your actual browsing session with all open tabs was not restored?

These are the configuration options for the feature:

This is where are the menu options to reopen last window states etc.:
