how to restore deleted cookies

jatpad69 replied

I deleted cookies and now I'm in a mess. I play Arcadium type games everyday, and have lost all of my scores and levels in the games. For example, I play a game with 30 levels. It's extremely difficult to get to level 30, and it took me weeks to get there. But because I deleted cookies, I'm now back to level one! Is there any way to restore the cookies to the game page? I use an android tablet. I think the game page is arcade.hsn.com Please help if possible and thank you! I didn't know that deleting cookies would remove my scores and levels. Pure ignorance on my part.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to recover deleted cookies. It's weird that your game doesn't use accounts (storing all the data on the server), but... For the future, just remember that if there's no account, the data is most likely stored on your device, and clearing cookies will remove it.

@Denys Thank you Denys, I was afraid of that. The games are owned by a company, I think it's called Arcadium. They have some kind of business arrangement with Hsn, and every game has ads. I was thinking that maybe Arcadium has the cookies on their servers. But then I think I would still have my scores and levels. So I think I'm out of luck. I appreciate your help, thank you Denys.

No problem.

The thing with cookies is that they must be stored on your device. Otherwise, there's no reliable way to link your data to your device (if you don't have an account, of course).

I have an account with HSN, but no account with the company that owns the games. Oddly enough, I played a few games last night and saw that I still see the history of highest scores on a few games. I think that HSN must own those few games. There are about 50 different games, so it's very possible that HSN owns a few of them. But I'm just guessing about all of this, don't know for sure.
