How do I reinstate notification of number of new emails in my taskbar icon? It has suddenly stopped showing this. I found the same question in 2023 but I don't understand the answer.

I was having troubles with Try instead of tray back in 2022 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1395000
The menu is ☰ on your toolbar if that is what is throwing you. So ☰ > settings Search for "new mail" Set show tray icon for unread messages also set the app icon setting to show unread messages or new messages as you desire.
