guce yahoo mail and clearing cache?

more options

I'm not sure if the two are interlinked, but I 'clear data' every now and again.

However, I've noticed that this time, I was unable to clear the 10kb of data under 'cached web content'. I've tried shutting down and restarting to no avail.

I've eventually resorted to removing the profile folder under App Data, but is there anything I should be concerned about?

To my understanding, the redirection to guce.yahoo.com when trying to log in to my mail isn't malicious. It took me to an error page citing security, but I understand this is expected if ad-blockers are on. I'm set on 'never remember history'.

Is this all just coincidental? Encountering guce and unable to clear cached web content? Anywhere else I need to check / remove?

I have not heard of that domain but it probably is part of the Yahoo infrastructure if it ends with yahoo.com.

Do you want to share the details of the error page? Usually blocking ads doesn't generate secure connection errors.

I'm set on 'never remember history'.

This setting triggers automatic private browsing and Firefox restricts some forms of storage in this mode that can break some sites.
