That tab grouping "feature" really is too much like modern software developers' tendency to roll out a new "feature" and turn it on automatically no matter how annoying some users may find it. Some times when a mouse cursor goes too far and wanders into that tab zone, Firefox starts grouping tabs. Please allow us to turn the thing off.

I use the current version of Firefox on Ubuntu 22.04 Linux. When I scroll down past the individual bookmarks at the end of the menu, the folder names start repeating, along with the bookmarks inside them. I have three or four sets of bookmarks and would like to have only one. How can I delete all the bookmark folders below a certain point? By the way, when I install a new, different version of the operating system and sign in Sync restores all the bookmarks.

It seems that a few days ago my Firefox was (involuntarily) updated in the course of another update (Linux): Previously, after Ctrl-S I could immediately start editing the name of the downloaded .html file, usually replacing it: the .html was retained, but the main part was highlighted and replaced automatically with the first typed character. Now one has to highlight the name with "select all" and also take care of the .html suffix. This is highly inconvenient if one wants to change the (usually) much too long names. Is there a chance (option?) to get the old behaviour back? (By the way, not connected with this change: It is annoying that Firefox silently changes `:` to `_´ in desired names though these are perfectly legal in Linux.) (and I would like to be able to use Firefox save to command from the command line.

The latest version of Firefox 150.0.1 (64 bit) does not work correctly for Twitch.tv and Canadiantire.ca. I can't login to either. Is anyone else having similar problems?

I was getting popping in audio both in Smplayer & videos on other sites. I discovered the problem went away completely when I closed the X tab. When it was open, I noticed another glitch. I keep a small video windows to keep track of my sleep time. The elapsed time is displayed on them. Only when X was open it was throwing it off by about 3 seconds a minute. I closed it in Firefox & signed onto X on Chrome & all these problems went away. This is the only web site that has ever done anything like this. What is Firefox's problem with X?

I have credit card auto-filling enabled and several credit cards active. However, most of the time, when I go to use the autofill, though the card choices appear and I am able to select one, and it usually temporarily shows the fields to be filled, when the menu closes, the auto-fills are gone! It's worse than not having autofill at all. This seems to happen the majority of sites where I try to use it.

When uploading files with Firefox, I click the upload button, and the file browser window appears to upload files.

For as long as I can remember, it always defaulted to the last folder location that I uploaded a file, but just a few days ago, it stopped working, and always defaults to my home folder.

How can I make the upload window pop up, default to the last uploaded location? My OS is Linux Mint Cinnamon.

I can't upload files such as photos to AI generators.When I try to upload the list of folders pop up but when I click on any of the folder the content I know is there doesn't appear. Why? At the bottom of this question area there is an image upload option but for some reason I am unable to access my files to upload. I am perplexed.

two days ago, video embeds on Twitter stopped working in Firefox. Please help me troubleshoot the issue, so that I can either fix it myself, or present enough evidence to file a proper bug report.

Affected version: FF 140 ESR. I had some 140.7 installed when the error first happened, but have upgraded to firefox-esr_140.10.1esr-1_amd64 since. Didn't fix the problem. *Not* a snap package, regular .deb!

Affected OS: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, not a fresh install but upgraded from 24.04 instead (which itself was upgraded from 22.04).

Symptoms: Videos on X (and Facebook) no longer play, the preview image is there for a split second, then an error appears. Video on for example Youtube is fine, though. Local players like VLC also do work as expected. Video on X worked under 26.04 before this happened.

The issue likely started when removing surplus packages and metapackages from the upgrade. I am running 150.0.1 on Debian with Cinnamon. I set the fonts to use for Chinese to a custom fonts, where I left Latin fonts to use untouched, I found I must set Latin to use my custom Chinese fonts in order to display Chinese webpage properly, where the English fonts will get out of place, extra spacing in Apostrophe for example, "It's" will become "It 's", this is particular trouble when viewing on Youtube. But I set to use the same custom fonts on Chrome both English and Chinese displayed perfectly.
