Hello,

one of my Auth cookie is deleted after new browser's tab is opened, when "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" feature is enabled. This issue is present only with one particular site so it is most likely caused by some error on that site's end. But I would like to ask if there is a chance the "Delete cookies and ..." feature can affect/delete cookies when new tab is opened (without closing Firefox browser).

Thank you in advance.

"Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" shouldn't be able to cause such an issue. If you use containers then opening a new tab in a different container could affect this.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out. If you have enable any of the features of deleting/not to keep any cookies in your computer, it will automatically delete al the temporary cookies after you close a website tab or clse the FireFox web browser. For security concerns, Firefox usuall try renovate the authentication cookies as much possible and not keeping in your computer for a long period of time. Thanks

Hello Cor-el, Andres.

Thank you for your quick responses.

First, I'm not using Multi-Account Containers, so from Cor-el's answer I conclude the issue shouldn't be caused by Firefox for 100%, but I'm a bit confused since Andres's answer claims it is possible, if I understand correctly.

Andres, could you please explain little bit deeper, or provide some source, how it is possible that enabled Delete cookies feature removes cookies also when browser a tab is closed, but not entire browser.

Thanks
