Wish to access my bookmarks (stored on Network HDD) from several machines independently

I have a Network Hard Drive and several computers and would like to independently access and edit FireFox bookmarks from each machine.

Microsoft has shown me how to acheive this with Internet Explorer and it works well, hope I can achieve the same with FireFox.

Hello Bob_Firefox,

Thanks for contacting Mozilla Support. I've found a few articles on how to setup a similar to what you are looking for, but they are based on older versions of Firefox so they may not work.

Have you tried to setup Sync? This would allow you to backup and share your bookmarks across multiple machines.

How do I set up Sync on my computer?

You would have to copy the places.sqlite to a profile folder in your own windows account to inspect the bookmarks.
After you are done you can copy this file back to the original location if you made changes.

thanks Patrick, I'm using ver 27.0.1 and can't find bookmarks.html with a search. 

"Sync" would not be as convenient for my usage.

Hi, I've found "places sqlite", I don't wish to view or edit bookmarks I want to relocate bookmarks. I read the "Reset Firefox" article and I gather this would relocate all my Firefox data, guess that wouldn't matter. So I'd have to do this resetting in each machine. Sounds like it might be the answer. Will have another look at when I've got more time.
