Ever since installing a VPN (astrill), Firefox won't load webpages until Astrill is connected.

I installed a VPN, Astrill, and since Firefox won't load webpages unless it is on and connected. Once the initial connection has been made, I can turn off the VPN and firefox continues working. I'm on a windows 8.1 operating system. Has anyone had similar problems?

Try going to your Add-ons > Extensions, and disabling the Astrill extension.
