I list my pets on petfinders. it came up that my edition of windows exlorer 9 would not work and to go wtih firefox. I downloaded firefox and now it wont work and I need to uninstall but cant seem to be able to- how do I uninstall so can go with the windows version

However Firefox is obviously working, and it does no harm to have more than one browser on a computer. In fact it can be a distinct advantage. For instance it allows you to use the alternative browser if the primary one has a fault.
Maybe what you are in fact trying to do is to set Internet Explorer (IE) as the default browser again, so that for instance the IE icons appear on some files and links. You can do that from IE

- if you do; or do NOT, want Firefox as the default browser also note the information here Make Firefox your default browser
