I get this message on the new Firefox v22 -Error: Illegal operation on WrappedNative prototype object

Every time I go to a website other than mozilla support I get the following -Error: Illegal operation on WrappedNative prototype object

I have updated Java on my Windows 8 machine. I have not gone to 8.1 yet. On the older version of Firefox -(I used it an hour ago) this message did not appear.

The cause of this error message is the usage of a symbol (or variable) name that is reserved in the current Firefox version, but wasn't reserved in previous Firefox versions. The extension or other software or web page JavaScript code that uses this name needs to be updated to use a different name that is reserved.

I just update my JavaScript, no help :(

Hi Tiinav, JavaScript actually is built in to Firefox, so it's updated when you update Firefox. There is a separate plugin for Java, but that is not related to this issue.

Since this error usually is caused by an older extension, can you try updating those here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons >click the "gear" button > Check for Updates
