I can't use the scroll up/down on my laptop when using the new Firefox. The only way to go up or down on the page is to use the arrow keys or hold and drag the bar on the right side of the page. I opened up several other browsers on my laptop and it works fine with those. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do you mean that scrolling with the scroll pad doesn't work?

In that case you can try to modify the pref ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled from the default -1 to 0 or 1 to see if that makes the scroll pad work.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

  • Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
  • Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
  • Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.
