When my Mac upgraded to 3.6.13, my bookmarks and history disappeared and I can't save any new bookmarks and history is not working.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  3. Delete or rename all files named "places.sqlite", including "places.sqlite-journal" and any "places.sqlite.corrupt" files, if found.

When I restarted Firefox, "places.sqlite" was rebuilt and my empty bookmarks and menu bar reappeared. Then I went to Organize bookmarks and restored my bookmarks and history from 5 days ago. Now all is well. Thanks for you help.
