Error msg can not connect to server
My Firefox on a Linux system only connects to my gmail acount. Any other attempt to connect to sites gives the msg Can not connect to Server. Do I need to reset something? Or reload the Linux system. Thanks Graham Benson

Hi Graham,
If Gmail works in Firefox but other websites give a “Can not connect to server” error, I would not reload Linux yet. This sounds more like a Firefox connection setting or network configuration issue.
First, check Firefox’s proxy settings. Go to Settings > General > Network Settings > Settings. If you do not normally use a proxy, select No proxy and click OK.
You can also check Settings > Privacy & Security > DNS over HTTPS. If you have changed this setting from the default, try setting it back to Default Protection.
If the problem continues, could you tell us which Linux distribution and version you are using, which Firefox version you have, and whether other browsers on the same computer can access those websites?
Also, if possible, give us one or two examples of websites that fail and the exact error message Firefox displays. That will help narrow down whether this is a Firefox setting, DNS problem, or something affecting the Linux system.
