I think Thunderbird had a recent update because all of my folders are a jumbled mess.

Sounds like you changed the sort, specifically changed to "grouped by sort".

To change it to ungrouped, visit View > Sort by > near the bottom click Threaded.

Thanks for responding! So do I follow those instructions for each email account that I have on Thunderbird? Because I looked at the settings for Thunderbird in general, under Appearance, and those things you mentioned are already set the way you told me. So thats why I wondered do I do I follow your instructions for each email account?

I have my main email plus 4 others that are used for specific things. Having said that now, I just noticed that one of those other email accounts, has 111 emails in it and I know thats not possible, because I rarely use it, but I need it. I look at the emails and they are supposed to be in my main email account but were sent to this one I rarely use. I looked at a couple of them and they have been correctly sent to my main email address. I have no idea why they are in there. I have a headache over all this.

Things are coming thru my Tbird email again. I dbl checked your solution about the grouping and its all as it should be. Problem is, I still have 2 spam folders, and several of my created folders are grayed out, and several were created that say Userfolder with a number next to it. They contain emails that would belong to those grayed out folders. Another thing is that another yahoo account that I have is downloading my email that I receive in my primary email account. No idea how that occurred but Im afraid to delete them because thats how I think I deleted my primary email on the Yahoo site. What a mess. Anyone have any suggestions?
