Search function in the program on Mac does not work properly
I have been using Thunderbird for a long time, but for a few weeks/months now the search function has stopped working properly. I enter a term and don't get all the results.
I am using the version: 128.6.1esr (64-bit) Mac

Which "search" do you mean? The "global" search? The "Search messages" (Edit > Find > Search Messages or ⬆︎⌘F )? The "Find in this message" (Edit > Find > Find in this message or ⌘F )?
Global search currently has at least one bug which might cause your issue. The others are AFAIK bug free.
If this is with Global Search, try rebuilding the database:

I tried to rebuilding the database, but now i can not find the old mails, just the new one. I try again but same problem. Any other ideas?
Are the missing messages in the Junk or Trash folders? They are excluded from Global Search by default, but can be enabled in folder Properties (right-click context menu).
