I'm attempting to connect my webmail account (not GMail) to Thunderbird with the configurations that my webmail gave me to input. However, I keep getting this when I'm done:

Configuration could not be verified--is the username or password wrong?

I KNOW for a fact that I'm using the right username and password, as I can login through the web interface with the same.

Suggestions?

Hello amk23 If u are very sure that u are entering your details(User name in its right format) correctly than see if you are trying to log in simultaneously from multiple device . If the problem still persists than u can try the following steps- 1) Go to Google Security settings under account permission. 2) Enable Access to less secure apps.
