I cannot open an email in "Search"
I am unable to open an email after I have done a search for it. I type in the keyword or email address that I am searching for. This opens a separate tab. When I find what I am looking for, I double click on the email to open it but it won't open. I have also tried to open email as list and that does not work anymore either. This did not start until I changed from XP to Windows 7. Help!

sounds like a corrupt index.
Help menu (alt+H) > troubleshooting information. Press the show folder button for your profile.
Close Thunderbird.
Delete the file global-messages-db.sqlite
Restart Thunderbird
Note the search will no find anything until the file you deleted regenerates and that could be hours.
