I keep getting these annoying links that are double-underlined in my browser web-sites. I have disabled the Pass Show add-on. I have uninstalled the Pass Show program using the XP Control Panel and reset Firefox from the Troubleshooting menu but the pass show double-underlined links keep showing up.

hello Chindi, when you have it present, could you go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information, copy its exact name, version and id from the listing there and paste it here into a forum reply - this could make it possible for mozilla to take further action on it...

afterwards please run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.
