How to block non-admins from updating firefox 13.x on Terminal Servers.
Hello all! Is there any way to lock down the updating notifications and ability to update Firefox 13.x on a terminal server? I have several users that even though I tell them not to hit the update button they still do causing the update process to hang and cause Firefox to be unusable on a terminal server until I take it out of load balance, uninstall Firefox and then reinstall it.
Is there an .INI file or something like that I can modify to block these updates?

You can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock prefs or specify new default values.
Place a file local-settings.js in the defaultspref folder where you also find the file channel-prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg.
pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0); // use this to disable the byte-shift
