Bookmarks sometimes not saved
Sometimes all the newly added bookmarks disappear when restarting firefox.
1. Tried rebuilding the places database by deleting the Places.sqlite.
2. Places.sqlite is not write protected.
3. Tried reseting all the browser.places preferences from about:config.
4. Tried deleting all the JSON bookmark backups and importing from a manual backup.
5. Re-installed firefox 4.
What's weird is that it's not happening all the time, like when I start firefox add a bookmark and restart again, it works. But when I have surfed the net for a while and restart the changes made to bookmarks are lost.
Anybody have more ideas I should try, to solve this. Nothing seems to work.

Observed the places.sqlite files modification time and it just stops updating it after a while of browsing. Is there a memory leak or something that's causing this?
I have observed it (again) with 2 days old almost fresh profile (I have imported old boolmarks from HTML export from old profile).
Pages missing in bookmarks are missing in browsing history too.
Windows 7, 32-bit, SP1, EN
@michrat Turned out to be Google Toolbar in my case. Reported problem to google and waiting for a fix hopefully in the next version, switched to Googlebar Lite for the meantime and problem's gone. Try removing it if you have it installed.
