when downloading an anti virus software, google chrome became my default web browser, how do I get firefox back
firefox use to be my default web browser, since loading an anti virus, it also loaded google chrome and became my default web browser. even after uninstalling google chrome, firefox will not open. I can oprn firefox manually, but not as default.

There are many ways to make Firefox your default browser again.
I am detailing here one of the ways:
1. Open Firefox manually ... one last time ;-) 2. From menu go to Tools > Options 3. On the "Options" menu click on tab named "Advanced" 4. Click on sub-tab "General" 5. Under the "System Defaults" ..click on "Check Now" button. 6. It will open up a pop-up saying ... "Firefox is not currently set as your default browser. Would you like to make it your default browser" 7. Click on "Yes". This makes Firefox your default browser. 8. To ensure that Firefox checks that its your default browser going forward, please checkbox the text "Always check to see...browser on startup"
