I have a brand new windows desktop. i installed thunderbird 153.0. setup email account. can send and received emails ok. cannot get imap folders. have tried everything. i can see the imap folders on other devices, my iphone and also on another windows laptop. cannot find any folders. i installed google chrome first. is it possible that it has blocked folder display on my email.

Chrome would not have done anything to Thunderbird. In Thunderbird, you can try right-clicking your email account and then click on "Subscribe..." and make sure that all the folders that you need are checked.
