If your old version was 78 or newer one approach is to simply copy the abook.sqlite and history.sqlite from the old profile to the new one. It's that easy, done when thunderbird not running. Another approach is to click the addressbook pane, and click the import button at bottom of screen, repeating for each addressbook. .
