Is there any way to retrieve double deleted emails?
I was trying to clean up my iPhone 16 by deleting emails, double deleting emails, not realising that they were being deleted across all of my devices. I contacted Apple and, of course, as the emails were double binned they were unable to help me. I then remembered I was using Thunderbird on an older MacBook, MacOS 10.14.6. Is there any way I can retrieve these emails? Pleeeeease tell me there is. Ive read other answers but the questions that are being answered are not quite the same. Thanks for any reply.bold text

IF the account is IMAP, and IF thunderbird has not run since you did the delete, then you MIGHT be able to recover whatever messages had been accessible when THunderbird was last run. DO NOT start thunderbird as, if this is an IMAP account, the messages will immediately disappear. Instead, do this: - locate the profile folder on the MAC. As a Windows user, I can't advise, but my guess is there is a folder named Thunderbird somewhere. if it helps, the addressbook is named abook.sqlite or abook.mab. A search for that might help in finding the profile. - from there, look in the Imapmail folder for the account and message folders, such as inbox, inbox.msf. - COPY those files and paste into the Mail\Local Folders folder - then restart thunderbird
