Thunderbird said it was downloading 28 messages that didn't show up in my inbox
Hello, I opened up Thunderbird and it said it was downloading 28 messages but they don't show up in my inbox. I went online to log in to my email that way and the messages were downloaded. I check the trash in Thunderbird, they aren't there. The time stamp stops at 9:23am this morning and picks up with one message at 1:05 that I received after the 28 went missing. Any ideas where they might have gone? Thank you so much!

Do you access your mail from anywhere else? Could Thunderbird have been synchronizing folders other than your inbox?
Hi Rick, No I only access my email on my laptop. It seems as though Thunderbird disappeared those messages. I'd like to have a way to find them. Thank you for responding - I really appreciate it! Julie
Have you checked trash, spam, junk folders?
The only other explanation that I know is that you are using message filters. Are you?
Yes, I checked the trash, spam and junk folders and no, I don't have any message filters. I opened up Thunderbird, clicked on the "get messages" icon, there was a message saying it was downloading 28 messages and then nothing - no messages appeared.
