For no apparent reason, all Firefox 140.0.4 on Windows 10 crashed and when it was relaunched it did not restore any open tabs, reverting instead to the home page. All history is gone, no previously open tabs are windows appear in the history list. This computer has syncing enabled. I used about: profiles on the Win 10 machine and it only shows the one that is currently in use. I copied the 2 files found in the along with places.sqlite into a temp directory. I did a search for index.dat and it is not found on the Win 10 computer. Even worse: another computer running Win 11 that is syncing with the Win 10 machine is also now missing its history. Is there a way to recover from this? Note: I am generating this from the Win 11 machine, not the problematic Win 10 machine.
