I will open a few tabs, then close some then open more , then everything slows down, I go to task manager and see that many tasks are still open under Firefox

I want tabs to close ( end process) when I close them

So now I manually 'end process' and the machine resumes speed

How do I get firefox to End Process when tabs are closed

this is w 8.1, don't know what version of firefox, pretty recent

I am experiencing high RAM use and slowness on some sites. I usually have to wait a few seconds after closing a troublesome tab. Firefox also has a tool called Task Manager; it my help.
