I have been researching syncing T-bird addresses with Google contacts, and most of what I have found relates to older versions of T-bird.

I saw some plug-ins (TbSync, and Google-4-TbSync), then I saw that T-bird may do the syncing natively. Not sure if that means without plugins.

In Preferences->Composition I can add a LDAP Directory Server. Is this where to add googles contacts server?

If so, can someone give the details of what fields to set, (Specifically, I will need the Hostname, the Base DN, the port number, ...)

If this is not the yellow-brick-road, is TbSync, and Google-4-TbSync the way to go?
