Unable to comment or like other comments on Washington Post

Immediately prior to subscribing, downloading, installing and running Mozilla VPN I was able (within half an hour prior to VPN interaction) to post comments or like other comments on the Washington Post website. Immediately after subscribing, downloading, installing and running Mozilla VPN I was not able to do so. I signed in and out of the WaPo website several times, as well as turning Mozilla VPN on and off several times. It appears that even with Mozilla VPN turned off (but installed) I still cannot post comments or like other comments on the WaPo website. I can do so on the NYT website, but not WaPo. The only thing I haven't tried is actually uninstalling Mozilla VPN and then trying to post on the WaPo site. Can anyone shed any light on this difficulty?

Sorry not to have said this before: I'm in the United States and WaPo is so far as I know an American website. My machine is running the latest version of W10, 64 bit. My browser is the latest version of Firefox.
