My ISP changed and I am trying to set up a new email account without loosing all of my old email
I am getting this message: "error creating account incoming server already exists"
I just want to change my settings to the new ISP and keep all of my old email. I use POP3 as I want to keep email local. The earlier posts with this message talk about deleting accounts, which I do not want to do. Or do I need to move all of the old email to a "local'?
Here are the details of my Thunderbird:

I just want to change my settings to the new ISP and keep all of my old email.
Leave your existing account alone for the time being.
Set up your new account in Thunderbird for your new provider. Job done.
That is what I tried to do and I got the message of the server existing. Remember that my email stays the same, I just changed ISP. Should I change the older account to something crazy?
According to your Troubleshooting Information you do have two accounts for mail.snowedunder.com. Why?
One is POP, the other is IMAP. Please expalin what this is all about.
If you do set up a second account you must not use the same account name as for the existing account.
