More specifically, when I click onto the Shaw my account "sign in" tab on this website, the Firefox browser is unable to open it. Yet I can open the same website with the Safari browser, for example.

For me, that page shows "An unexpected error occurred." and three different buttons (My Account, Free Range TV, OnDemand).

It looks like that first button loads https://myaccount.shaw.ca/ which then redirects back to a sign-in page.

Does it work any better if you click that link?

Could you make sure that Firefox's redirect block is not turned on:

  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences

In the left column, click Advanced. Then on the right side, with the "General" mini-tab active, make sure the following is not selected (box is not checked): "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

Thanks for the tip, jscher2000.

In my case, the option, "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" was "not" check-marked.

When I click onto the "sign In" tab link the computer screen turns white and the Firefox tab reads "Submit form." Nothing else happens.

So for some reason my version of Firefox is not able to read this online form. Even with earlier Mac versions of Firefox I've had trouble opening this particular website.

HIstorically, I've never been able to solve this issue with Firefox regarding this particular website.
