I have a display issue on Windows 8.1 when firefox is full screen

I'm having some display issues with firefox full screen on windows 8.1.

In full screen the tabs bar goes transparent - showing whatever happens to be underneath.

(The example given has spotify showing through).

Firefox has been open for a few days, through a few PC sleeps. The video adapter on the laptop is a plain old Intel Graphics HD 4000 on-chip adapter.
