Managing .ics calendar file stored in local network

Hi,

I have one .ics file (176kB size) that I would like to manage, storing it in our company server/Fileserver.

Thunderbird ver.: 31.7.0 Lightning ver.: 3.3.3

This .ics file was previously stored in another server. If I open it double clicking with Microsoft Outlook, I can see the previously fixed appointments, so I'm sure that something is contained in this ics. file...

But, I cannot find the way to read it with my TB, storing it in our Fileserver.

Best regards, Francesco

You'll need to import it into Lightning. Events and Tasks (Alt-N) - Import

Hi,

I can import the file in the way suggested (thanks!) but it seems that the calendar is empty. Instead, If I open it with Microsoft Outlook, I can see old appointments.

Is there something more to try?

Best regards, Francesco

This is the equivalent of a word document. so imp0orting it converts is and stores it in your Thunderbird profile. It is no longer an ICS file.

I would assume if you navigate the calendar to the date of the old appointments they will appear fine. (they should)

If I navigate the calendar opening it with Outlook, it works: I can see old appoinments.

If I try to import with TB, I can't see old appoinments. But I don't get errors.

I use different copies of my .ics file for test with different clients (Outlook, TB)...

Can you explain that in more detail?
