After a bit of reading up on SD cards for the ZTE Open C (Firefox OS) I have gathered that the card should be FAT32 formatted. Does this therefore mean that there is no point in me using a card with capacity > 32GB? I was thinking of getting a class 10 64GB card but i'm not sure that could be fully utilised by the phone.

I believe it's 32GB for the ZTE Open C, but as Andrew mentioned, you should contact the manufacturer for specific information about a Firefox OS device.
