It seems that after a recent Firefox version update (perhaps to 151.0.3), the "Clear cookies and site data" option is disabled for any container tab. This is really annoying as I like to use this feature often.

I couldn't log into a site and it was suggested to 'clear cache' as follows: - settings - privacy and security - cookies and site data - clear browsing data BUT only cookies and temp cache sites. By mistake I believe I ticked browsing and download history too, and looks as though it is irrersible? Now I no longer automatically get all the little boxes I used to get for usual regular log ins (eg The Times, Meteo, banks, email etc) I think I can use 'add shortcuts' and re-enter these, but any other suggestions? Desktop and laptop--all upgraded with anti-virus software. Why does firefox randomly log me out of websites and delete my cookies--WITHOUT me doing anything? At work, my password book is at home--so being logged out is annoying and stressful Help me with telling me how to STOP being randomly logged out by firefox for no apparent reasons?? PLEASE!!!

I cannot get Firefox to accept session cookies. I have my cookies set to standard in the settings. I have also set my permissions to allow cookies from the website where I am trying to view an embedded video. I set the permission by using Ctr-i. When I reload the webpage, for the briefest moment it looks like the video is loading, but then it reverts to "Access Denied".

i keep having to sign in to every website. bbc sounds, iplayer, amazon prime ITVX etc as if i using it for first time, have had many laptops and browsers inc firefox and this is first time i have had to sign in again and again and again..........can i fix this or do i have to get google chrome cos its annoying and unnecessary. thanks for your time

Previously, each time I logged into Firefox, all my various streaming services and other apps remained logged in. Now, every time Firefox goes to sleep or is re-booted, I have to log back into all the streaming services, Google, Facebook, Yahoo, SideReel, etc. Sometimes this happens several times per day.

I am using firefox on linux since ~10 years. Currently running latest FF on Kubuntu. I always had setting set to forget all cookies and session details except of search history on exit.

Since approx 2-3 weeks (latest update?) those settings don't work. FF remembers everything regardless of settings I chose.

Does anyone have idea why this is happening now and how to fix it?

am facing an issue with Firefox where every time the browser updates, all of my accounts get logged out, including YouTube, ChatGPT, and other websites. I have already tried repairing, uninstalling, and reinstalling Firefox, but the problem still persists.

I have been a devoted Firefox user for about five years, across both desktop and mobile. I truly love Firefox for its speed, privacy, and customization. However, for the past one to two years, I've encountered a persistent issue on my desktop where Firefox resets unexpectedly. Even though my extensions, passwords, and settings remain, I’m repeatedly logged out of my favorite sites like YouTube, Gmail, and Facebook. Despite reinstalling and troubleshooting, the problem persists. I trust Firefox so much, and I hope you can help me figure out what’s happening so I can continue using it with the same joy I always have.

OK so, I just updated Firefox to 115.34 Oesr (64-bit) on my Windows 7 Desktop. Before this update, it's been my practice to clear my cookies manually from unknown websites about 3 times a day, only keeping the "exception" cookies. But, since the update, there have been SOOO many cookies...something like 75 to 100 and EACH time I manually clear the cookies...even just minutes after I clear it and refresh the "Settings" page they appear again. And, the worst of it is that Google won't let me sign into Google websites like Play Store and Google.com search saying that "there has been unusual traffic..." and makes me solve capchas all day long. Other sites too say Unusual traffic like CVS and won't let me sign in either. And now, I'm not using a VPN.

I googled the matter and it was said to be was a known issue with the 115 update and the A.I. said to get rid of the ad blocker as a possible fix but, it didn't work. Have Firefox clear cache and cookies but that didn't work, changing "Tracking Protection" to "Standard". Nothing works. Is there an update fixing this issue? By the way, I have had Firefox set to clear cache and cookies upon closing. But the cookies pile up so quickly again. Thanks for your help
