I cannot log in Firefox account. It says I have to log out to log into my account. All I wanted to do is to remove a phone I reset and gave away from my Firefox device logins, but everything quit working with all the AI chaos.

I have about:config > toolkit.legacy ... stylesheets set to true, but how can I determine if FF actually 'loaded' the file <profile>/chrome/userChrome.css ?

Alternatively, is there a css tweak that is known to still be working in FF147?

I have 4 rows of links on my desktop. How can I set these so that every article I read or You Tube video I watch doesn't replace something I want to stay on my desktop?

When Windows 11 reboots, and Firefox is restarted, it opens a very tiny window in the upper right part of the computer screen. Why is this? I believe I reported this before but it still is not resolved.

Firefox lost all my passwords and bookmarks, not in any of only 3 profiles. Now it won't enter new passwords and Mozilla/Firefox support not working. I don't know if this is even being entered

With this latest update - which I hate by the way - I LOST EVERYTHING THAT I HAD SAVED ON FIREFOX. Bookmarks, passwords, EVERYTHING is missing.

I'm beyond angry. Recreating things will take HOURS that I don't have.

If there is someway to recover what I had you can begin to get back in my good graces.

I have been using 1Password 7 to manage my login credentials. It includes a Firefox extension to fill in account names and passwords in login alerts and pages.

Firefox 147.0.1 (macOS aarch64) in January 2026 has broken 1Password 7's ability to fill in account names and passwords.

To reproduce: 1. Install 1Password 7 Version 7.9.11 (70911000) and its extension version 4.7.5.90 in Firefox 147.0.1 on macOS. 2. Visit a URL for which 1Password 7 has login credentials. 3. Click on the toolbar icon for 1Password 7. A 1Password 7 dialogue box pops down from the icon, containing the username and password for that URL. 4. Click the Autofill button in that dialogue box.

Observed behaviour: 1. Username and Password fields remain blank.

Expected behaviour: 1. Username and Password from 1Password 7 appear in the Username and Password fields.

For approximately the last three months, there was a partial failure similar to this. 1. 1Password 7 popdown dialogue moves from the toolbar icon to the Firefox tab for that URL. 2. Username and Password fields remain blank. 3. Workaround: click in the username field, then tab 2-4 times to further UI objects in the login credentials form. Then click the 1Password toolbar icon, then click the Autofill button in the popdown dialogue. Then, the Username and Password from 1Password 7 appear in the Username and Password fields.

The expected behaviour occurs for the same URLs in Safari.

Thus I suspect that Firefox has somehow changed its behaviour in the last few months to cause this regression. I have not changed the 1Password software versions in this time, because I am intentionally using a previous version of 1Password.

I am looking for a fix or workaround which works with my current 1Password software version. I am not interested in a solution which requires me to upgrade to the current version of 1Password. (The current version of 1Password imposes a feature which I am resisting.) I realise that this reduces the chance that I can persuade the Firefox team to find and correct this regression.

This problem just started with the latest version of Firefox that opens with two profiles. It worked for a short time and then failed. Firefox will not open if I choose the default profile. I can open Firefox if I choose Profile #2, but it has none of the history of the default profile. I lose all of my extensions, history, bookmarks - everything.

How can I get back to where I was yesterday? (Note: I'm just a user, not a computer geek, and don't understand the buzzwords or technospeak. I can follow clear instructions like copy, delete, rename, etc.)

I'm using an HP laptop with Windows 11.

My geeksquad agent dumped me here. They were not able to fix the issue. My tools are not all on the bar, my book marks are not all here. They got some. There was a message that some other application was using my firefox and my tools and bookmarks wouldn't work. I am no tech person. I just want things back like they were and to know why this happened and I don't want it to happen again. Please help.

I accidentally messed it up when trying to remove the desktop icon because I already set Firefox in my taskbar. Now I get an unfamiliar screen and my settings, including bookmarks, are gone. Is it possible to set my laptop to undo changes made today?

I have two machines running Windows 10 and Firefox 64 bit (synchronised and up-to-date). I recently noticed that the desktop is missing several Firefox bookmark folders, which contain hundreds of bookmarks.

How do I get the desktop fully synchronised with the laptop? Do I use backup? If I am to use backup, how do I see what is in backup, so that I know it is backimg up correctly? Do I reinstall the Firefox and import from backup?

Ich habe seit einiger Zeit Probleme mit unterschiedlichen Login Masken die nicht korrekt angezeigt werden.

Z.B. Online Banking, Synology NAS, etc. Ich habe Firefox jetzt schon drei Mal neu installiert, dann geht es gefühlt ein paar Tage, jetzt kann ich mich nicht mehr auf meiner Synology NAS anmelden, weil die Login Seite nicht angezeigt wird. Verwende ich z.B. EDGE funktioniert es einwandfrei!!

Igend eine Idee ?

On closing down firefox. My browsing history still remains.I have all the boxes ticked that need to be ticked to perform this.Settings also are all ticked and saved. it was all working fine 2 days ago. came back ontoday and stopped working. can any one help. Also my firefox icon/tile/shortcut in my taskbar has changed from firefox icon to being a white folder with top right coner folded over.Anyone have any ideas whats going on.

I've been annoyed recently to see the Firefox symbol on both my Desktop and in the taskbar and finding that there are two in the taskbar when I open one. The bottom line is that I seem to have completely obliterated Firefox as I'd had it set up! Can I restore my Firefox settings to where they were yesterday?

The first time i'm installing Firefox it quickly made me fall in love with this browser and wanted to fully migrate from Chrome to Firefox, it's more lightweight, has more customization, fully private & secure. But there is only one thing that made me just almost migrate to Firefox, or just 99% complete transitioning to Firefox, and that is me unable downloading. Yes, thats it and it's pretty annoying. I just able downloading pictures, but not when i'm downloading an apps or software like Discord for example. PLEASE HELP ME, MY LAPTOP (X240) IS VERY OLD AND I NEED EVERY PERFORMANCE ON MY LAPTOP FOR WORKSTATION PLUS WITH THIS RAM PRICES (ykwim). Tomorrow i'm planning to switch to Linux (Mint MATE) and i have to do dual-boot just incase there is some software i'm unable to use at Linux. So please, help me. Give each step with no technical explanation, and use beginner languange so i'm easier to understand.

Everytime i try to go on YouTube and click on a video, it says that "that specific content is unavailable", with every single video i try to watch. i tried using a different browser, like Chrome, and this doesn't happen with those videos, only with Firefox. I also tried switching search engines, but it seems as if it still doesn't work.

Today following a brief power outage I was no longer able to sign in to AOL with Firefox on my desktop computer. I am able to sign in to all other apps with no problem. I tried clearing my cache, restarted Firefox, restarted my computer and spent 30 minutes on remote desktop access assistance with AOL trying to fix the problem with no success. I can log in to my account using Chrome on the desktop computer and can log in with no problem using my Android phone but can't log in using my desktop computer with Firefox. I've verified that my Firefox version is updated. I am running Windows 11 Pro.

I would greatly appreciate any helpful advice.

I recently got a large (30") 4k monitor because I have been having trouble reading text. But Firefox has become practically unusable.

Some sites display with giant text, and I have to press ctrl-minus several times to fit them on the screen.

Meanwhile, the text in the Bookmarks bar, tabs, and URL window are unreadably small.

I tried about:config and layout.css.devPixelsPerPx, which currently seems to have a NEGATIVE value of -1.5. Per directions, I changed it to 1.5. NOTHING. NO CHANGE.

Then I found an endless series of possible fixes, all involving similarly opaque and obscure and user-unfriendly steps.

I might have to abandon Firefox, after all these years, over this. Anybody got a simple fix?

(I now see that I'm actually having the same problem in Windows Explorer, so maybe that's where I need to go to fix this.)
