Hi,

I have a laptop whose drive failed. I've got a new drive up and running and restored my data from Backblaze, but so far I have been unable to restore the tabs/history that I'd had open.

I would appreciate any help and/or directions you have to offer.

I give up. All I want to do is to go to the selected web site. Now different profile. Passwords don't work. Too frustrating. I had to switch to edge because I just could not figure out why I was getting jerked around.

Over the past six weeks I have had two failures of Firefox [running current version 146.0 (aarch64)] in completing CC payment processes -- at least one involved updating an expired car, I can't recall if the other involved such a change or just entering a card.

I am using Firefox on a mac mini M4 Pro running macOS Sequoia 15.7.2 (up to date, fully supported, but not Tahoe the recently released new version of macOS). I am running Firefox with 4 extensions -- 1 Password, Print Friendly, Raindrop.io, and Authenticator. None were being actively used during these incidents.

In both cases when I switched to Safari and opened the sites, I was able to successfully complete the CC changes and payments. So it does not appear to be related to a problem in my internet connection.

My questions are: a) has anyone had a similar experience with Firefox

     -- particularly incidents related to online financial transactions

b) if so, have you found a solution c) regardless, do you have any suggestions about the cause of the problem or changes to try

Otherwise, my experience with Firefox has been excellent and I am very happy with it, but this is obviously a frustrating and time-consuming problem.

I have reported it to Firefox -- the response was that they will look into it but that my next step should to ask "the community" here.

When I try to connect to the SSA login site, I get this message:

"Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit."

If I use Microsoft Edge, the login works fine.

Since the update to Firefox 146.0.1. on December 20th 2025, I cannot save any new bookmarks or organize the existing ones. I used CCleaner 7 but uninstalled it because there seemed to be a problem. But that hasn't changed anything for me. When I checked the integrity of Places Database, this is what I got:

Using your Firefox browser is become less and less likely due to so many issues now starting to compound given being forced to use Windows 11.

Whenever trying to upload images to Blue Sky and as of today, images to articles published on LinkedIn, I'm being forced to use any browser except Firefox.

For some reason, Firefox is not allowing image to be posted whether copied and pasted or uploaded, as once I do that the images all turn black.

Recently affecting downloading PDF files from LinkedIn also... though once saved, thankfully the PDF us usable.

Previous issues were how I could no longer access ChatGPT using Firefox.

Now it is my fear that Firefox is no longer keeping up with the massive changes that are happening.

Please fix?

Whenever I wake my mac from sleep, Firefox is unresponsive. I believe the app is not dead, just not repainting the window. Sometimes if I 'hide' Firefox window behind some other app window, then bring it back to top, it'll re-paint.

For a while I fixed the issue by disabling GPU usage in firefox. But now, even that isn't helping. Then for a while, removing and reconnecting the USB-C connection to my external monitor would fix it, but now that doesn't help.

Have to quit firefox completely and relaunch. Then the app is working again.

I started my computer this morning and mozzilla restarteed now all of my bookmarks are gone I didnt have a profile. now i am screwed i dont know how to get iut back help

Hi I just wondering that if the developer of Firefox can make or improve more about personality and security online I hope they can make The possibility to encrypt browser with browser more like you are of another browser to encrypt into one

I've used Firefox for years, but recently Firefox is unusable on Mac OS 15.7.2 because it's hogging all the RAM over time. I get a spinning beachball on my MacBook Pro. I look at the RAM being used and it's even over what I have in the computer. I have and always keep Firefox updated to the latest version.

When I click on the URL bar, the entire URL is highlighted. Then, if I click the left arrow, it brings my cursor to the start of the URL. After it moves my cursor, it then prepends the URL with the protocol (https://, http://, etc). My cursor is now no longer on the left side, and I need to hit my left-arrow key several more times to reach the left side.

Ideally, it would bring my cursor to the left side of the protocol, or show the entire URL, with protocol, in the URL bar, so that it does not need to prepend it.

Try to setup Thunderbird POP3. Keeps asking for a primary password I never set. I do have a password for Mozilla Firefox, used to log-in and create this question. POP3 Yahoo has been real trouble since the MSFT update as of Novemeber/December 2025.

I have an account with CA FTB (to make my estimated tax payments) and an account with CA DMV (for DMV stuff like renewing drivers license).

The FTB account is https://webapp.ftb.ca.gov The DMV account is https://www.dmv.ca.gov

So, Firefox browser seems to think these two accounts are the same, and tries to use my FTB credentials for my DMV account.

It seems like the .ca.gov causes the browser to think they are the same account?

So, I would appreciate any insight on how to fix or work around this problem.
