Multiple tabs open, only one works at a time?

Trying to get stuff done. It's hard when you start a task in one tab ,switch to another tab to start another task, and when I switch back to the first tab, it hadn't completed the task, it actually paused when I left it. What's the point of multiple tabs, when only one is working at a time? I expect it to continue with the task, while I go elsewhere to complete a different task.

Might be the site, using something like Page Visibility API or Intersection Observer visibility options to pause when you switch away. Have you checked with their support to see if that workflow you're expecting is supported from their side?

It does not matter what site. If I hit the refresh button, and then switch tabs, when I go back in 1 minute, 4 minutes, whatever it is, the page will have not finished refreshing, and will commence then. As soon as I switch away, the "refresh" pauses until I come back.

Hi..

I wouldn't have thought of refreshing and then switching as yes your system may only have one tab active at a time, so switching tabs would stop the refresh.

I have seen this as an option somewhere

Just found this
