Lost all my bookmarks, history and favs after Mozilla update

Hey, So I just updated my Mozilla with the latest update and after I restarted my laptop all my bookmarks, history and favourites are gone. I didn't do any backups manually. It's few hundred important work-related links lost. What actually happened? Can I get them back? Please help.

Thanks for the link @Paul I saw it before. Unfortunately nothing works. I have no "Old" file anywhere. I have no files to import from backup
