The dropdown box containing regularly visited websites used to contain up to 16 sites: then it went to 12 and now is only 10. Why? Can you go back to 16?

As part of my daily routine I regularly visit a number of websites. Years ago when I first did this (I think Firefox was in it 20's then) the dropdown box containing these website addresses contained up to 16 lines, one address on each line. One click and the website opened. The the number of sites dropped to 12 and today, after running CCleaner as usual, I went to repopulate the box and it now only holds 10 lines. Why is this, and is there a fix to return the facility to 16 lines?

Thanks.
