Bookmarks aren't shown under either the toolbar buttons or the Bookmarks menu - both show a small square on the bottom left of the button when you click on it.
When you click on a toolbar folder some of the subfolders are listed on some of the toobar folders, but not all, and none of the bookmarks are listed. Issue arose after installing AdBlock Plus although not necessarily linked. Since then I have updated to 6.0.2 and removed AdBlock Plus but the issue remains.

Check and tell if its working.
Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
