Unable to type Chinese in facebook text boxes.

I fail to type a Chinese character into a blank text box (e.g. status). There is no problem in typing Chinese into a text box with text, so if I start with a number/English alphabet, I can type Chinese after it then cancel the first character. But it's no good, right? What happen is after I input the code for the Chinese character, it simply does not appear. At least it has no problem with xanga, google or yahoo, so I think it's about facebook.
