When I created my account FF did not prompt me for the login information. When I return to the site FF does not respond to the login request. I have been using FF for years and never had it not respond to login request. I do not receive any errors

To save logins you need to set the AutoFill/AutoSave features. Did you verify these were working and set.

Did you store the username and password for this website (origin) in the Password Manager ?
You always need to verify this, especially if Firefox doesn't offer to store the login and in that case you need to use "Create New Login".
