How to retrieve my bookmarks?
Hi, I saved my bookmarks to one folder on my external hard disk before I erase all my hard disk (I'm windows 7 user) and now I don't know how to put them back to my Mozilla? I try too many French support and all of them gave me almost the same answer I found on the Mozilla support but it doesn't work. Is somebody could help me please?

Can you
- Give links to what you have already tried.
- Say how you backed up the bookmarks and what type of file they are.
- Please say what problems you ran in to
Basically I imagine you could have attempted any of these
- Backingup the profile, or only part of it: bookmarks backup folder, bookmarks database { places.sqlite )
- Exporting backing up from the bookmarks library, using Firefox {.json) or universal favourites files {.html)
- Using some utility or addon to create backups
If you created a JSON backup then you can export your current bookmarks and import that file after you have restored the JSON backup.
Make sure that the backup you created has the correct file extension or Firefox probably won't process this file.
- .html for a HTML backup
- .json for a JSON backup
