Firefox crashes periodically for me. I install the latest version and it works for awhile and then stops again. I haven't been able to use Firefox on a regular basis for over a month now. I have gone through the testing for crashing in safe mode, and that is continuing to happen. I have checked for software updates on my computer. In fact, it took me two tries to get this crash report info to you due to crashing.

This is my favorite browser, but I am not able to figure out why this continues to happen. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thank you and have a nice weekend. Lisa Papenfus lisa@papenfus.com

Sorry but the Crash ID you provided linked to an empty report. Whatever the crash it seems it is preventing proper reporting.

Your only reasonable alternative is probably to do a clean reinstall of Firefox, however before attempting that I suggest:

  1. if Firefox will start the profile manager create a new profile, and see if that will run
  2. Back up your information, it may not be absolutely necessary but best to do it now before anything gets worse see

Now do a clean reinstall, note you should avoid options that ask to delete settings, or bookmarks and passwords will be destroyed (That is why you backed up the profile, just in case) Note the instruction to Trash files before installing.

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox location bar (that's where you enter your website names) and press Enter. You should now see a list of submitted crash reports.
  2. Copy the most recent 5 report IDs that you see in the crash report window and paste them into your forum response.

Thanks in advance for your help!
