Screen saver no longer comes on
I'm starting this again, as the previous question is called solved even though for some people including myself it was not solved. With every release since 8 (windows xp) my screen saver no longer comes on. I tried opening firefox in safe mode to see if that would help and it did not. I did just discover today however, that if I go to private browsing that the screen saver will come on. So something must be running that private browsing stops, but safe mode does not. Any ideas out there?

This is very strange, but although I've changed nothing, after months of no screensaver, it's come back! So I guess we'll call it solved even thought nothing has actually been solved.

Do you have a add-on that makes your firefox stay on longer like not go black
no, and as I said when I load it in safe mode (no add-ons) I still have the problem.

try downloading Mozilla Firefox 11.o https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Nope, 11 doesn't solve the problem. I hope that I don't need the microsoft .net add-on, since that wouldn't update when I updated to 11. But I'd rather solve this screen saver problem.
