For the last 2-3 months, Firfefox no longer records history. When I click on Show All History, it is blank. This occurs only on my desktop, not my laptop. Both are Macs running OX10.7.2 and Firefox 8.0.1

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
